WELCOME HOME!
I’m so happy to see Philippines again. Aside from re-uniting with my family and spend a quality time with them, I could also meet most of my dear friends from childhood to college. It was the best moment to relax and wholeheartedly appreciate my off without thinking my work, my expat life and everything about Dubai. I’m sure some of Filipino working thousand miles away can relate on my excitement to come home. Stepping on our native land is always a dream destination for all who were temporarily away from our loved ones. So making each day memorable and worthy plays a vital role in achieving vacation grande, ika nga nila.
Though its not a rainy season, there’s a fair share of rainfall anytime of the day. I was surprised with the kind of weather here (winelcome ako ng sipon, nyahaha) as I don’t have an idea when it will suddenly fall so hard. That’s why I always keep my folded pink umbrella in my bag wherever I go. I am thankful that whenever I need to go outside (whether official or personal gala) the weather is so cooperative. Its giving me way to finish the things I must do in a day then afterward saka bubuhos ang ulan. Thanks to SM for giving me a free pink umbrella when I shop on their Department Store. Speaking of SM

Our 3rd and last day of our Ilocos adventure will focus more on the heritage city of the north – Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Visiting this city was long been in my bucket list. Just like all others who have been a dream to explore Vigan, one of the best tries is the calesa ride (a vintage-type horse drawn carriage that serves as a public mode of transportation during the Spanish colonial era) around the city. But before setting off on the planned activities, since it’s also the Lord’s Day (Sunday), we opted to check first the English mass schedule at the Vigan Cathedral (I really couldn’t understand Ilocano, sorry…) Soon as we learned that it’s still on 10:30am, we adjusted the day’s schedule in order to have time for the mass.
As I heard my tummy bursting with anger, I mean hunger 🙂 , we had our still budgeted breakfast at McDo which is just beside the church.
Being full, our first destination will be…of course to see Calle Crisologo (also known as Heritage Village) and experience the much long awaited calesa ride. The best time to visit Calle Crisologo is during early morning when there is less people roaming around. You can have the freedom to station your cameras to the best angle of the street and stone houses. A walk or a calesa ride through Calle Crisologo is a m
