Kelly Ward (born November 17, 1956) is an American actor and voice director for television animation. He is most famous for his role as T-Bird Putzie in Grease (1978).[1]
Biography
[edit]Ward was born in San Diego. He is the son of Don and Bonnie Ward, who have been active in theatre in San Diego for decades. His brother is Kirby Ward.
He first gained national attention as a character in the television film The Boy in the Plastic Bubble, which starred John Travolta as the title character. The role began a short acting career for Ward; when Travolta was cast in the 1978 film Grease, Ward was cast as Putzie, a character created specifically for the film.
Ward mostly stopped appearing on-camera in 1983; he continues to work in the entertainment industry. He is a voice director for Disney Television Animation, and has voice directed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Star vs

Kelly Ward's career spans a broad spectrum of the entertainment industry. As an actor, he’s probably best known for co-starring as T-Bird, Putzie in the musical feature film, Grease. He also co-starred in Samuel Fuller's acclaimed The Big Red One and Luis Valdez's Zoot Suit. As a studio executive, Ward helped found Universal Cartoon Studios, and later, resurrect the long-dormant MGM Animation unit made famous by mentors, Joe Barbera and Bill Hanna. In addition to co-writing the feature films Once Upon a Forest and All Dogs Go To Heaven 2, Ward has written, and/or produced, and/or directed over 40 television series, including The 7D, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue, and Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks. He’s won an Emmy Award for directing, and the prestigious Humanitas Prize for writing Children’s Animation. Currently, Ward is working on Star vs. The Forces of Evil for Disney Television Animation, and, together with writing partner Cliff MacGillivray, has recently released the first in a series of children’s eBooks, The Notehunter: The Case of the Haunted Swamp.
