Three actors were offered the role of Somerset before Morgan Freeman: Robert Duvall, Gene Hackman, and Al Pacino. However, all three turned it down for various reasons, with Pacino opting to work on City Hall instead of Se7en.

Biography

Pamela McKay is a lecturer in adult nursing at the University of the Highlands and Islands. Pamela is a qualified nurse with over 25 years clinical experience, working predominately in the surgical specialities. She has experience of teaching on a variety of academic nursing subjects to undergraduate students and, supervises MSc students. 

Pamela has 12 years’ experience as a Musculoskeletal Audit Nurse. A variety of audits were undertaken as part of the national Strategy set out by the Scottish Orthopaedic Service Development Group. In addition, she has worked as a Practice Education Facilitator developing, and supporting the role of the nursing assistant.

Pamela has an interest in research having undertaken an MSc and then being afforded the opportunity of a Studentship at the University of the West of Scotland to undertake PhD research.

Research
